The visit of Berlin is an mostly famous trip through the ages!
The former “east side” of Berlin

Karl-Marx-Allee

Karl-Marx-Allee

The center of the former capital of the GDR East Berlin was the Alexanderplatz with its 365 m high TV tower and the largest shops, restaurants and hotels in the country.

Although the characteristics of socialist architecture almost from the image of the Alexanderplatz are gone, they still see in restored form: the former house of the teacher, the Congress Hall and of course the World Clock. East Berlin was the sole political center of the Soviet occupation and the GDR, and therefore had to have something personal to the heart: The Karl-Marx-Allee,as an example.

The image of the Brandenburg Gate is known throughout the world as a symbol of a divided city and at that time also marked the border between East Berlin and West Berlin, and thus the boundary between the states of the Warsaw Pact and the Western states. But the east of the city makes more than the built in the 50s, Karl-Marx-Allee, it is the breath of the new is higher than the eastern part. Not a day goes by where something does not change, sometimes for the better and sometimes for the worse. But what about the artist says: “… everything is in the eye of the beholder!” We’ll show this part of town with our eyes and words.
